The Academy of Realist Art (ARA) is a private institution that teaches drawing and painting in the old master tradition. ARA is proud to offer instruction at two locations; Toronto Ontario and our new location in Boston Massachusetts. The curriculum and the teaching techniques are modeled on those of the 19th-century European academies. This successful, step-by-step process teaches the student to thoroughly process the skills needed for representational painting.
