The Star Inn is a friendly pub with a welcoming bar, log fire and good food to go with good beer. In the summer the large beer garden is open and well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome throughout the pub. The Star Inn was first documented as the Royal Oak in 1794, the first landlord was Josiah Watts 1794 - 1808. Robert Stoate closed and reopened the pub during 1825 as the Star Inn. During it's history the pub was owned by the Egremont trustees in the 1870's then the Wyndham Estate in the 1890
